Sharing Experiences
Though wisdom is generally expected to arrive with age, there are still aspects of being human — and of living life as a human — that continue to confound me.
When I was taking a course on Tibetan Buddhist logic, The Art of Reason, at the Asian Classics Institute, the Geshe began by holding up a pen and asking, "What is this?" Then he said, "Okay — now you are a dog. What is this?"
Eventually, I came to realize that we are all "blind men holding onto different parts of the elephant," each assuming that the rest of the world sees and experiences everything as we do. It is truly a miracle when we are able to communicate and share awareness and experiences.
It is my hope that visitors and readers will find something here that inspires them to believe in themselves and their unique gifts — which everyone has — and that it gives them hope for their own life’s journey.
